badtz-maru is an emotional hardcore band from the green bay/milwaukee area, and one of my personal favorites in the genre. they don't have much of a discog, two singles, a split, an ep, and one bootleg but all of it is really great lo-fi screamo. afaik all of it was recorded on tape. their sound is super recognizable with their signature tape fuzz and muted screeched vocals, really great stuff. not much is known about them either, (especially as someone not from green bay) they're not very active on social media and the only content of them on youtube is just two live sets.(and the leak) they were also the band that got me into screamo, so thanks badtz-maru!

UPDATE 1: so they just released a split with emoviolence/metalcore (please don't lynch me if i got that wrong) solo project composition booklet!! very big departure from their more lo-fi sound but holy fuck does it work, would highly recommend checking it out
